The Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS) is the Government of Canada’s commitment to helping young people, particularly those facing barriers to employment, get the information and gain the skills, work experience, and abilities they need to make a successful transition into the labor market.
The YESS is a horizontal initiative involving eleven federal departments and agencies. The previous streams offered by the YES, which we merged together to create a more integrated and flexible service delivery network, are Skills Link, Career Focus, and Summer Work Experience
