Responsibilities

Tasks

 

·       Load, transport and off-load vehicles at various locations across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.

·       Carry out daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of our equipment to ensure our transport operations run smoothly and safely.

·       Perform inspections of the transported vehicles (cargo) to make sure that every damage is recorded on the inspection report.

·       Communicate with dispatch to ensure efficient route planning.

·       Maintaining paperwork and administering BOL and all documentation up to date.

·       Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials

·       Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment

·       Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle

• Perform preventive maintenance

• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption

Credentials

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses

·        Air Brake (Z) Endorsement

·        Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
