Title of position: Personal support worker – Margherita D.

 

Candidate is to care for an elderly lady who requires assistance with mobility, personal care, and daily activities. The elderly lady weighs approximately 140 lbs. She has a chair lift to the 2nd floor and bed rails on her bed to assist with transfers and mobility. She has limited vision and hearing.

 

Duties:

• Administer bedside and personal care
• Administer medications
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and regular exercise, e.g. walking
• Assist with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
• Collect specimens
• Launder clothing and household linens
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Plan therapeutic diets and menus
• Provide companionship
• Provide personal care

 

Terms of employment: a min of 30 hours/week, permanent, full-time, mornings, day, evening, with overtime if needed

 

Wages: $21 per hour

Education required: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Work experience required: 1 year to less than 2 years of caregiving experience

Language required to do the work: English

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
