Responsibilities
Tasks

Here is a sample of what you’ll be doing:
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy environment
  • Working with adults, youth and their families
  • Building positive working relationships with the youth, adults, their families, community members, and other professionals (e.g. social workers, probation officers)
  • Facilitating recreational and/or educational activities
  • Performing youth outreach as needed
  • Encouraging and modeling acceptable social standards and setting and maintaining appropriate limits
  • Collaborating with the clinical team and providing input into assessments and youth care plans
  • Driving clients to and from school, appointments, outings,
  • Meet with clients to assess their progress, give support and discuss any difficulties or problems
  • Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs by tracking clients’ behavioral changes and responses to interventions
  • Assess and investigate eligibility for social benefits
  • Refer clients to other social services or assist clients in locating and utilizing community resources including legal, medical and financial assistance, housing, employment, transportation, daycare and other services
