Newton Dock & Doors Ltd at Unit #101, 19045 54 Avenue, Surrey BC is looking to hire a Welder for a full-time and permanent position.
Job duties
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
Weld iron, aluminum, and other metal components using various welding processes such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
Cut metal materials into required shapes and sizes using cutting machines and hand tools.
Set up, operate, and adjust welding equipment to ensure proper operation and safety.
Operate bending, rolling, and shear machines to bend, align, and straighten metal parts as required.
Repair worn or damaged metal components by welding additional metal layers to restore strength and functionality.
Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet company standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
Assess the weldability of different metals and select appropriate welding techniques and materials.
Perform on-site welding during the installation of commercial doors, frames, and metal staircases in warehouses and commercial buildings.
Maintain welding tools and equipment and ensure a safe and clean work environment.
Experience – Minimum experience of 2 years or more as welder is required.
Education- completion of high school is required.
Wage Rate: $ 38.00 per hour
Hours of work: 30-40 hours per week

Work will be at various locations of the lower mainland.
